Volume IV. The Agreement
Terms of Service.
Last updated May 2026. Plain English. Have a lawyer review before signing anything serious.
1. What Web Relay provides
Web Relay ("we", "us") helps small businesses ("you") publish a marketing website, accept booking requests, collect customer inquiries, and have an AI concierge answer common visitor questions. You get a content management dashboard, an AI-generated public website, and tools to operate it.
2. Where your site is hosted
Your published site lives on Web Relay infrastructure. The exact URL depends on your plan:
- Free. Your site is reachable at
webrelay.app/site/<your-slug>. - Pro. You may turn on a free subdomain so your site is reachable at
<your-slug>.webrelay.appin addition to the path URL. - Growth. Same hosting as Pro — your free subdomain alongside the path URL.
3. What happens if you cancel
We don't switch your site off the moment a payment fails. We use a graceful three-stage lifecycle so your existing customers and Google rankings are not broken overnight:
- Days 0–30 — Grace. Your site stays fully live. Bookings, inquiries, and the chatbot all keep working. The dashboard shows a banner so you know how many days remain. Resubscribing in this window restores everything instantly with no data loss.
- Days 31–90 — Read-only. Visitors can still see your site, but new bookings, contact-form submissions, and chatbot conversations return a friendly "this business isn't accepting new inquiries" message. A small "powered by Web Relay" footer appears. You can still resubscribe to fully restore the site.
- Day 91+ — Inactive. The URL serves a simple "this business is no longer active on Web Relay" placeholder so existing inbound links don't 404. Reactivating after this point requires contacting support.
4. Your data
You own the content you put into Web Relay — your business profile, services, blog posts, customer inquiries, bookings, and chatbot conversations. You can export this data at any time from your dashboard, and you can request full deletion by emailing us. We process visitor information collected through your site (contact forms, booking requests, chatbot messages) on your behalf as a data processor.
5. Acceptable use
You won't use Web Relay to host illegal content, run phishing or fraud, send unsolicited bulk email, or anything that violates a third party's rights. We reserve the right to suspend sites that do.
6. Liability
Web Relay is provided as-is. We work hard on uptime and security but do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll notify you by email when we make material changes; continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance.
